Bertrand R. Pitt on his series, Echo: “Acoustic waveforms evoking the contours of an island, a shore, the edge of a forest or a city are superimposed on different minimalist landscapes. The wave embedded in the landscape comes from the recording of a speech or musical excerpt considered collectively or personally striking. Metaphorically one can say of the echo that it extends, returns, reverberates, repeats, responds, resounds, recalls, traces or marks. Thus, I select different recordings of speeches or musical works whose scope and relevance still find some resonance today.” Browse all works by this artist.

Barbara Alper has opened up her studio archive to provide FFOTO with exclusive access to her personal stash of vintage prints. Browse all works by this artist and revisit our coverage in the Blog.
